Hi!!! To replace the stretch goal we had to cut, I'm going to be writing you a digital Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-Style story, and sending it out free to everyone who backed this project. It's going to be a story that directly follows the events in ExSpelled. I have a really fun idea for the plot, but I won't spoil it until you've had chance to play ExSpelled. It's gonna be cool. ;-)
I'll be sending out the BETA print-and-play/character packs/wand packs this week. I'm going to keep polishing/tweaking the print-and-play up until I send it to the printers, so if you want to play the final version first, wait until the book ships – I'll be sending out the final print-and-play, and the printer-friendly version of the print-and-play then.
Yeah, ExSpelled is going to be a ink-heavy game to print in its original form. With The Cloud Dungeon I worked to keep it as light on the toner cartridge as possible, but I really wanted to make ExSpelled really ornate and beautiful, like a magical book. Because of this, I'll be putting together a printer-friendly version with lots of the extra ornaments removed.
We're getting closer to the book being in your hands. Above is a pic of one of the characters – do you want to see more of them, or leave them as a surprise?

Hey! So, we're switching printers, because after doing more research, the printer I was planning on isn't going to quite meet our needs. We're not going to be able to do the stamped foil cover (I didn't quite research the cost of that one well enough: I'm sorry! We'll vote on a different stretch goal below), but the good news is this:
In case you can't read my flawlessly rendered chart, with the new printer you're going to be getting your stuff sooner. How about that? Bet you thought "Revised Timeline" meant a longer wait, eh? Nope. :-)
So, what should we do as a new stretch goal? More characters? Alternate bosses? A cut-out wizard beard on the inside of the cover? A digital choose-your-own adventure game based in the world of Whimberly? Give me your suggestions below and we'll pick a new stretch goal. Your choice!
Let me reiterate: I'm sorry that the stretch goal isn't going to work. I'll do my best to create a really cool alternative.

Hello! I've been furiously testing and refining ExSpelled, and it's really taking shape. The students are loving their time here, with all of the crazy magical highjinks...
...er, she's had a difficult first day of school.
Here's some important info about the impending survey:
I'll be sending out a BackerKit survey to collect shipping information. You will not need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email will contain a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.
If you need to change your survey responses, add or remove add-ons, or update your shipping information, you can click on the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)
If you prefer, you can just message me and give me your information, but answering your survey will help us get your rewards out to you quicker. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.
If you used Facebook to log into your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you'd prefer to use, please message me.
